Njoll SRL (formerly Nahs Haus) is a family-owned company founded by Vladimir and Irina Nevzorov in Romania, building on more than 25 years of work in technology, publishing, and digital culture.
Today, we research, document, and preserve the history of technology and modern material culture.
We see objects as a way to better understand people and the times they lived in. Digital watches, home computers, game consoles, and mobile phones were not just everyday products; they became defining symbols that helped shape the character of their time.
Njoll’s work is organized around three main areas:
Preservation of Technological Heritage. We conduct our own research, publish books, and build a digital archive dedicated to the history of technology and material culture. Our first projects focus primarily on Eastern Europe.
Electronic Devices. We currently design and produce modern digital watches inspired by the aesthetics and culture of the 1980s. Looking ahead, we plan to expand this direction with other electronic devices conceived in the same spirit—not as replicas of the past, but as contemporary products shaped by it.
Punctum. A research project investigating the development of human connectedness, the principles of interaction between free individuals, and the possible role of artificial intelligence in new forms of social organization. It sits at the intersection of the history of technology, social sciences, ethics, and Christian thought. Rather than proposing a new ideology, Punctum aims to formulate and test hypotheses about future forms of human connectedness.
Vladimir Nevzorov is a publisher and researcher of the history of technology. He holds a Master’s degree from the Higher School of Economics and a PhD in Economics. In the early 2000s, he founded a multimedia publishing company that released more than 500 CD-ROM titles. Since 2010, he has been developing mobile applications. Vladimir lived for nearly twenty years in Moscow and then for about twenty years in Kyiv; he now lives and works in Romania. He is the author or co-author of APPLE. The Evolution of the Computer, Innovation in Isolation, Soviet Arcade Machines, Game Consoles in the USSR, Interesting Romania, and other publications.
Irina Nevzorova is the co-founder of Njoll and a trained lawyer. She oversees the company’s development, publishing projects, international partnerships, and legal and administrative matters.
The name Njöll is adapted from Njáll, the Old Norse name of the central character in the medieval Njáls saga. Vladimir Nevzorov originally adopted Njöll as a personal pseudonym before it became the company’s name.
